CROGHAN — The International Maple Museum Centre, 9756 State Route 812, will have its Hall of Fame induction on Saturday.
The day’s activities will begin with a pancake breakfast with New York state maple syrup, sausage, applesauce, coffee, tea and juice served from 7 to 9 a.m. at a cost of $12 or $7 for meals for children age 5 to 12. Those younger than 5 eat for free.
Pam Green, Poultney, Vermont, and Simon Trepanier, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, will be inducted into the hall of fame for their contributions to the maple industry. The induction ceremony starts at 10 a.m.
There will also be a chicken barbecue, serving outside starting at 11:30 a.m. Dinners with a chicken half with macaroni salad, baked beans, roll and cookie are $12 or halves only for $8. Vendors will be set up on the lawn.
According to a museum spokesperson, the event is an opportunity for local maple producers to meet with those from out of state and Canada. Free self-guided tours of the museum will be available.
The museum will be opening for the season soon.
