DEPAUVILLE — Depauville Free Library will host an open house from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday to introduce residents to its new community greenhouse at 32333 County Route 179.

The Palram Glory Greenhouse was funded through a grant from North Country Library System. The shelving was purchased from money received through the Stewart’s Foundation Holiday Match Program.

Steve and Mark Clark put the kit together earlier this spring and donated flats of vegetables and herbs from the Cape Vincent Correctional Facility made it come alive.

Library officials are looking to determine how many people would be interested in starting their garden plants in the greenhouse.

The greenhouse complements the library’s town of Clayton seed library started in 2015.
