Flower Library seeks donations for big sale

PEXELSFriends of Flower Memorial Library are asking people to clear out books they no longer want and donate them to the library’s annual book sale.

Friends of Flower Memorial Library are seeking donations throughout the summer and fall for their annual book sale, which will begin Oct. 26. Sorters are looking for books in good condition. The sale will run for 12 days.

Those who are cleaning out their closets, attics and garages or planning summer rummage sales are invited to donate books and music to the library.

Novels, paperbacks, nonfiction, children’s books, compact discs, audiobooks and DVDs are needed. Records are not needed.

Please do not drop off textbooks, National Geographic magazines and Reader’s Digest condensed books. There is little demand for these at the sale.

Contributions may be left at the library, 229 Washington St., Watertown, during regular library hours Monday through Friday. Books are not accepted on weekends.

The library is open from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. For more information, call the library at 785-7705.
