NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE INCLUSION OF VIABLE AGRICULTURAL LAND WITHIN CERTIFIED AGRICULTURAL DISTRICTS BEFORE THE DISTRICTS� ESTABLISHED REVIEW PERIODS Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Jefferson County Board of Legislators for the purpose of receiving comments on the landowner requests to add viable agricultural land to NYS Certified Agricultural Districts before the Districts� established review periods and the recommendation of the Jefferson County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board. The public hearing will be held in the Planning Department�s third floor conference room, 175 Arsenal Street, Watertown, N.Y., on Monday September 23, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Pursuant to Agriculture and Markets Law Article 25AA, Section 303-b, Jefferson County is considering landowner requests to add 5 parcels, 370 acres, of viable agricultural land through the annual inclusion process. The parcels of land are within the townships of: Clayton, Leray, Lyme and Orleans. Maps of the land proposed to be included are available for review during normal business hours at the Jefferson County Department of Planning Offices, 3rd floor, County Office Building, 175 Arsenal St., Watertown, New York. The Agricultural and Farmland Protection Report is available at www.co.jefferson.ny.us. Click on Planning Department and NYS Certified Ag. Districts.
