BELLEVILLE — The top four students for the class of 2019 at Belleville Henderson Central School are Rachel Newell, Hannah R. Sugden, Ashley Green and Perri Redden.

Miss Newell is the daughter of Brian and Jennifer Newell, Henderson. She has received several awards, including being named a WWNY TV-7 North Country Academic All Star and receiving the state Education Department Scholarship for Academic Excellence, Elmira College Key Award, Ronald Regan Student Leader Award and the Prudential Spirit of Community President’s Volunteer Service Award.

She is a member of varsity cheerleading, soccer and softball teams, National Honor Society, foreign language club, Whiz Quiz and business club, serving as treasurer for National Honor Society, the class of 2019 and business club.

Miss Newell performs in the school band and marching band and is a member of FFA.

She will major in mathematics at SUNY Oswego.

Miss Sugden is the daughter of Mark and Sarah Sugden, Adams. She is a member of the varsity soccer, softball and cheerleading teams, was named a Frontier League and Section 3 All Star for all three sports and was named a WWNY TV-7 Athlete of the Week for soccer.

She is a member of FFA and the musical stage crew, serves as president of National Honor Society and art club and as treasurer for the student council.

Miss Sugden will attend Pace University, New York City, to pursue a career in medicine.

Miss Green is the daughter of David and Patty Green, Belleville. She is a member of the soccer, volleyball and softball teams and a member of National Honor Society, stage crew for musical productions, FFA, foreign language club, marching band, orchestra and Whiz Quiz and serves as editor for the yearbook.

She will attend Le Moyne College, Syracuse, to major in cyber security.

Miss Redden is the daughter of Joseph and Shannon Redden, Adams. She participates in varsity soccer and cheerleading, serving as captain. She is president of National Honor Society, foreign language club and the class of 2019. She also has held the lead in school musicals for four years and earned a spot on Area All State Chorus, Bi-County Chorus and Band, and Select Vocal Ensemble.

Miss Redden will attend St. Lawrence University, Canton, to pursue a career as an attorney.
