ADAMS — Shirley and Lyle Jantzi Sr., 64 N. Park St., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at 1 p.m. on June 27.
Mr. Jantzi, son of Mahlon and Ruth Jantzi, and Shirley Keefer, daughter of Adam and Nellie Keefer, were married on June 27, 1959, at the First Mennonite Church, New Bremen, with the Rev. Donald Jantzi officiating.
Mrs. Jantzi worked for South Jefferson Central School, Adams, for 15 years, before retiring in 2005 from the Days Inn, Watertown, where she worked for 15 years.
Mr. Jantzi worked for New York Air Brake, Watertown, as a test technician in the engineering lab. He retired in May of 2009, after 32 years, and is currently employed at Current Application, Watertown, as a tool maker.
The couple has three children, Lyle “Jay” Jr. (Michelle) Jantzi, Gouverneur, Beverly (Grant) Moore, Albuquerque, N.M., and Jeffrey Jantzi, Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
