Gouverneur man jailed after domestic incident

HOUNSFIELD — A Hounsfield man was charged with felony first-degree criminal contempt by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 10:48 a.m. on Sunday.

Harold E. Cole, 30, of 17599 County Route 66, was additionally charged with violation second-degree harassment via physical contact.

Mr. Cole was arguing with his girlfriend, Devyn R. Sciarrino, and he allegedly started “aggressively” yelling at their son.

Ms. Sciarrino allegedly threw a dog bowl at Mr. Cole to get him away from their son and tried to call the police. Mr. Cole grabbed Ms. Sciarrino when she tried to call, the police report stated, throwing them both on the floor.

Mr. Cole will be arraigned in the Town of Brownville Court.
