POTSDAM — Village police on Wednesday charged Brooke E. Jenne, 32, Potsdam, with aggravated driving while intoxicated. She was also cited with failure to stop at a steady red signal and speeding on two occasions.
Police charge at 6:15 p.m. on Pine Street in the village, Ms. Jenne was traveling at 47 mph in a marked 30 mph zone and was then traveling on Sandstone Drive, a marked 30 mph zone, at 45 mph.
As she approached Sandstone Drive and Market Street, police said, Ms. Jenne passed through a red light. During a traffic stop on Depot Street, Ms. Jenne was determined to be intoxicated. Her blood alcohol content was later determined to be 0.21 percent. State law says a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher constitutes intoxication, while a BAC of 0.18 percent meets the threshold for aggravated DWI.
She was issued tickets returnable to Potsdam Town Court.
