Man allegedly cuts clothes, harms phone with broom

WATERTOWN — A Watertown man faces charges after allegedly cutting another man’s clothes and hitting his back pocket with a broom, thus damaging the man’s $1,099 phone.

City police charged Amarilis E. Lazar, 24, of 385 Pawling St., with third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment at 1:29 p.m. Sunday at 385 Pawling St.

Mr. Lazar was held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment in City Court.
