Watertown man accused of punching another

WATERTOWN — A Watertown man faces charges after allegedly punching another man, which broke his tooth and cut his mouth, on June 25.

City police at 6:15 p.m. Saturday charged Joseph S. Vanness Sr., 40, of 43 Maywood Terrace, with third-degree assault at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building.

Mr. Vanness was released with an appearance ticket to city court. A warrant had been issued for him out of Marion County, Florida, but authorities from that area did not him to be extradited.
