LeeAnn A. Tedford, 38, Watertown, is charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny, a felony.
State police said in a press release Thursday that from January 2022 to February 2023, Ms. Tedford was employed as the clerk to the supervisor for both the towns of Adams and Ellisburg.
While she was employed as the clerk to the supervisor in Adams, police said she stole $19,724.88 by manipulating payroll and transferring funds that belonged to the municipality.
They further allege that while she was serving in the same role in the town of Ellisburg she stole $16,799.88 also by manipulating payroll and transferring funds belonging to the municipality.
Ms. Tedford was arraigned in Jefferson County Court, Central Arraignment Part, and released on her own recognizance pending further legal proceedings.
