At least 33 dead in suspected arson at Japanese anime studio


TURIN — A Port Chester man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash on East Road.

Richard J. Agosta, 53, was charged with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08 percent and unlawful possession of marijuana, misdemeanors.

He was also ticketed for traffic violations including imprudent speed and moving from the lane unsafely.

In the incident at about 2 a.m. Friday, Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies said they found Mr. Agosta walking away from a crash, going toward the East Main Street intersection.

According to the Sheriff’s Office report, Mr. Agosta allegedly admitted to being in the incident and was administered field sobriety tests.

Mr. Agosta was issued tickets to appear in Town Court at a later date.
