Lester James Marsh of Oswegatchie, passed away in Eagle Bend, Minnesota on Saturday July 6, 2019. Born son of Roy Marsh Sr. and Mary Louise (Haskins) Marsh on May 20, 1944, he is survived by: two sons: Eric Marsh and Earl Bennett, and one grandson: Josh Bennett; five brothers: Wayne, Wayde (Joy), Lyle, Neil (Sharon), Roy Marsh Jr. and two sisters: Suzanne McCarthy (William) and Sharon Lasher (Fred), and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Preceeded in death by his parents; brother Ronald; and sister Sylvia Rice. Lester worked 35 years at the Newton Falls Paper Mill and later for “Green Thumb”. He had also worked with his father and brothers in “harness horse racing.” Lester was an avid hunter and fisherman; he enjoyed life to the fullest and was a great friend and story teller. Lester will be greatly missed by all; may he rest in Peace. In-lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 31st at 1:00 PM at the American Legion in Benson Mines, New York.
