CANTON — The St. Lawrence County Public Health Department reported Monday that one new case of COVID-19 was confirmed over the weekend. The total number of confirmed cases reported since March 25 is now at 216.

A total of 211 people have been released from isolation after recovering from the disease caused by the novel coronavirus and three people have died as a result of the virus in St. Lawrence County.

This leaves two known active cases of the virus in the county being tracked by the public health department. On Friday, it was reported that the two active cases were located in Massena and Madrid.

No one is hospitalized with COVID-19 in St. Lawrence County.

The state Department of Health reports that 16,014 people in the county have been tested.
