Tri-county area reports 151 new COVID-19 cases

WATERTOWN — The tri-county area confirmed a total of 141 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday.

No deaths were reported in Jefferson, Lewis or St. Lawrence counties. Thirty-eight people are hospitalized with the virus across the three counties a decrease of seven from Tuesday.

St. Lawrence County reported 78 new cases Wednesday, bringing its total since the onset of the pandemic to 10,197. There are currently 25 hospitalized due to the virus. The county has recorded 115 COVID-19-related deaths.

Jefferson County reported 50 new virus cases, bringing its total to 8,711. There are 10 people hospitalized. The county has experienced 90 deaths.

Thirteen new cases were reported by Lewis County, for a total of 2,776. Three people are in the hospital. The county’s total number of deaths remained at 31.
