U.S. Rep. Elise M. Stefanik, R-Willsboro, announced on Thursday she had received the endorsement of 117 local officials in Jefferson County, including Republicans, Democrats and Independents.

“Its essential that we have good, solid working relationships at all levels of our government” Scott Gray, chairman of the Jefferson County Board of Legislators, was quoted as saying in the news release. “Congresswoman Stefanik understands this. She is always willing and able to pick up the phone and assist us wherever it is needed, whether it’s on economic development, our local airports, or Fort Drum, she is always there to help.”

The endorsements come from a number of county legislators as well as officials in every town in the county and the City of Watertown.
