My name is Alberta Hyde, and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and why I am running for the position of Lisbon town clerk.
I have a deep affection for Lisbon and the residents of this small town. I was born and raised in this community and have raised my own family here. I am a proud graduate of Lisbon Central School and am pleased that my children and now my grandchildren have attended this great school as well. I am employed at the Department of Social Services/Child Protective Services with Volunteer Services and enjoy a busy life on our family farm in Lisbon.
I have been active in the community in various ways my entire life. I am involved with the Lisbon Fire Department Auxiliary, Lisbon Sportsman’s Club, various church activities and Board of Elections. These activities help me to be aware of the various needs of our town and its residents. I have a passion for our small town as well as proven experience having served as the bookkeeper and county court clerk for 10 years.
I am confident in my ability to perform in this position and promise to bring not only enthusiasm for the position but experience as well. I am dedicated to working to provide service beyond “normal” business hours, accountability for public data and fiscal management and, above all, honesty and professionalism. I am the best person for the job and pledge to provide services to our community in a confidential, committed, positive manner. I am asking for your support and your vote at the primary Election on June 25 and again during the general election on Nov. 5. I would be humbled and honored to once again serve the residents of Lisbon. I love my community! Thank you.
