Letter to the Editor

To all who participated in the fourth annual Frank Caprara Memorial Golf Tournament:

On behalf of the Sacred Heart Foundation we would like to thank everyone who participated and supported the golf tournament. Through the tournament, the foundation was able to raise more than $12,000 to aid our mission, which is providing financial assistance to seminarians studying to be priests and brothers of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart everywhere. The turnout was great this year, and everyone had a good time.

At this time, we would like to thank all 29 teams who participated in the tournament: Benefit Services Group, Con-Tech, Spectrum, Fr. Vince Freeh, FX Caprara teams 1 to 5, FX Harley, Hearing Solutions of NNY, Honda Hackers, Lawley Automotive, Manning & Napier, Mount Carmel Society, Navarra, Northern Glass, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, RBC Wealth Management, Rustic Boys, St. Anthony’s No. 1, St. Patrick’s, Team Bruno, Team Calarco, The Putz, The Sunshine Bella’s, United Professional Advisors, Villa and Watertown Savings Bank as well as all 38 of our golf hole sponsors.

We would also like to thank Ives Hill Country Club and Watertown Savings Bank for their time and generosity; it is because of businesses and people like you that we are able to do what we do. A giant thank you to Mel Bussler and the Watertown Daily Times for covering the golf tournament. The publicity you provide us with helps raise awareness of the foundation and its mission.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped the tournament come together and run smoothly. The donation of your time is truly appreciated. Last, but definitely not least, we would like to thank Billy and Charlie Caprara. You and your families are the backbone of the tournament.

Your time and generosity are some of the reasons why the tournament is and continues to be prosperous. We look forward to working with you for many years to come.
