The Soldiers and Sailors Monument at Public Square

The Soldiers and Sailors Monument at Watertown's Public Square was erected in 1891 in honor of north country residents who fought in the Civil War. The monument is 50 feet tall and made of granite. In 2012, the statue was repaired, cleaned and stabilized after its years showed deterioration and soiling.
