KINGS POINT — The Skyline Conference recently announced that U.S. Merchant Marine Academy first baseman Vincenzo Alteri of Watertown made the Skyline Conference First Team. He was one of eight USMMA players selected over the First and Second Teams.

Alteri led the conference and ranks 49th in NCAA Division III with a .418 batting average. Among all Skyline players, the sophomore has the most total hits (64, which ranks 37th in the nation), the fourth-most runs (34) and RBIs (33), the fifth-best slugging percentage (.562) and on-base percentage (.466) and the sixth-most triples (3). Throughout the year, Alteri was selected to the Skyline weekly honor roll twice.
