SYRACUSE — The Syracuse University football team released start times and TV information for its first two games of the upcoming season on Thursday.

The Orange will open the 2019 campaign with a 6 p.m. nonconference game at Liberty on Aug. 31, which is slated for broadcast on the ESPN Plus subscription-based streaming service.

The following Saturday, SU will play at noon at Maryland for another nonconference game to be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2.

The Orange is coming off a 10-3 season under third-year coach Dino Babers and finished the season ranked No. 15 in both national polls. SU reached its first bowl game in five years last fall, and entered the national rankings for the first time since 2001.
