CANTON — Gabby Slater threw a five-inning no-hitter in the second game of a nonconference college softball doubleheader as St. Lawrence University swept SUNY Canton on Thursday.

The Saints won the opener at SUNY Canton 9-1 and picked up a 16-0 victory in game two.

Slater struck out five and walked one for the Saints (18-14 overall) and Taylor Armijo picked up four hits in the second contest. Elle Gray led SLU in the opener, going 4-for-5 and driving in three runs. Skylar Hein and McKailey Lyndaker each picked up two hits in both games.

Jaedyn Ossont homered for the Kangaroos (12-20) in the opening game.

n Lucy Condon went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs in game two as SUNY Potsdam salvaged a split of a SUNYAC doubleheader at Brockport with a 5-2 victory. The Golden Eagles won the opener 7-6. Claire Donaldson also lined three hits for SUNY Potsdam (8-26, 1-15) in game two.

Alison Missavage singled down the right field line to score Maggie Dorgan with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh of game one for Brockport (12-20, 3-13). Jessica Koneski and Morgan Flamholtz homered for Brockport in the opener.
