McCreadie places second in Lucas Oil dirt race

LAFARGEVILLE — Watertown native Billy Dunn bagged his 49th career victory at the Can-Am Speedway track to win the 35-lap 358-modified feature to highlitght the Pabst Shootout Wednesday night.

Dunn got off the line quicker than Edwards native Tim Fuller on a lap-14 restart and held off Fuller and Ryan Arbuthnot to get the victory. Bobby Herrington, last year’s 358-modified feature winner, and Watertown’s Jordan McCreadie rounded out the top five.

Paulie Cologiovanni took the 25-lap Empire Super Sprints feature to start the circuit’s speedweek. Antwerp’s Jeff Cook was 20th.

Kevin Root outpaces Kyle Inman and Connor Cleveland to win the 30-lap DIRTcar Sportsman feature. Watertown’s Taylor Caprara was fourth, Plesis native Jackson Gill was 10th and Lowville’s Dalton Rombough was 26th.
