WATERTOWN — Brandon Taylor drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the 11th inning as the Watertown Rapids held off the Utica Blue Sox for a 3-2 Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League victory Sunday at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds.
Evan Harold drove in a pair of runs with a single and a solo home run for Watertown (2-1). James Krick tossed three innings of relief to get the win, and Greg Tobin went six-plus innings and yielded only one run in his first start for the Rapids.
Malik Spratling provided a pair of hits, including a game-tying double in the eighth, for Utica (2-1). Casey Keller took the loss for the Blue Sox, who host the Rapids at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday.
Watertown is off today before taking on the Newark Pilots at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday at Colburn Park. The Rapids’ next home game will be at 6:15 p.m. Thursday when they host the Pilots.
