Watertown’s game at Geneva postponed

GENEVA — The Watertown Rapids dropped to 9-9 overall after a 14-inning, 6-5 loss to the Geneva Red Wings on Monday in Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League play at McDonough Park.

The Rapids had a 5-4 lead heading into the bottom of the eighth inning when Geneva’s Brandon Cooper hit a solo home run to tie the game at 5-5. The score remained that way until the bottom of the 14th when Trevor Rogers drove in Brock Kauffman with the game-winning double. West Division-leading Geneva improved to 10-4.

Trevor Fagan supplied three hits and drove in two runs for the Rapids, while starting pitcher Michael Rounds went five innings and gave up four runs on five hits.
