GENEVA — The Watertown Rapids’ game at the Geneva Red Wings on Friday night was postponed because of poor field conditions caused by rain.

The Rapids will host the Red Wings today as a suspended game will resume at 5:15 p.m. at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds, with a seven-inning game between the two teams to follow.

The game, which was suspended last Saturday night because of rain, will be resumed in the top of the fifth inning with two outs and with Watertown leading Geneva, 8-2.

The Rapids will also host the Elmira Pioneers in a doubleheader at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, also at the Fairgrounds.

After an off day Monday, Watertown will travel to play at the league-leading Amsterdam Mohawks at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.
