POTSDAM — Connor Durkin scored four goals and assisted on four others as Section 3’s Jamesville-DeWitt defeated St. Lawrence Central, 15-2, in a state boys lacrosse Class C quarterfinal Wednesday at Potsdam High School.

Pat Murad scored four goals and Matt Kemmis added three for Jamesville-DeWitt (19-1 overall).

Jayden Ashley scored twice for the Larries (13-5).

Trevor Hill and Ethan Gentile both scored five goals to lead Section 3’s LaFayette (10-7) past the Shamrocks (13-5) in a Class D quarterfinal at Potsdam High School.

Dylan Lyons and Jack Delaney each scored three goals for LaFayette.

BASEBALL

Isaac LaRock drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning with a single as the No. 2 Golden Knights defeated No. 3 Chateaugay (8-8) in a Section 10 Class D quarterfinal in Lisbon. Ben LaRock went 4-for-4 to lead Lisbon (10-3) and struck out 11.

Bryce Lake struck out eight to send the No. 1 Bulldogs past No. 5 Parishville-Hopkinton (5-11) in a Class D semifinal in Heuvelton.

Keegan Kelley drove in two runs with a double, and Andrew Carlton doubled and drove in three runs for the Bulldogs (14-1).

Evan Ruddy and Braydon Bush combined for the win as No. 3 Madrid-Waddington (11-4) defeated the No. 2 Panthers (10-5) in a Class C semifinal in Brushton.

Madrid-Waddington scored two runs in the fourth and fifth to take control.

Patrick Smith and Connor Paige each lined two hits as the No. 1 Flyers defeated No. 5 Tupper Lake (1-13) in a Class C semifinal in Norwood.

Bobby Voss and Connor Paige combined on a one-hitter for the Flyers (15-2).

Jackson Troiano struck out 10 and combined with Jake Sharpe on a five-inning, three-hitter as the No. 1 Blue Devils (15-2) beat No. 5 Salmon River (3-11) in a Class B semifinal in Ogdensburg.

Syl Foisy got the first two outs and Keller McGowan finished up as the No. 1 Sandstoners (7-8) threw a no-hitter against No. 3 Gouverneur (3-12) in a Class B semifinal in Potsdam.

SOFTBALL

Maisie Voss tripled and Grace Furnace gave up just three hits as the No. 2 Flyers (11-2) defeated No. 3 Brushton-Moira in a Class C semifinal in Norwood.

Kennadey Hebert homered for the Panthers (11-4) and Paige Cox struck out 10.

Marissa Hawkins homered and Jaelynn Uppstrom tallied three hits as the No. 4 Yellowjackets (7-8) beat No. 5 Tupper Lake (3-12) in a Class C first-round game in Madrid.

Hadley Thornton scored on a fielder’s choice in the second inning to lead the No. 2 Golden Bears past No. 3 Potsdam (7-8) in a Class B semifinal in Canton. Emily Wentworth struck out 12 for Canton (8-7).

Hillary Cook went 3-for-3, and Laney Smith and Shea Mussaw each picked up two hits as the No. 4 Wildcats (7-8) defeated No. 5 Salmon River (1-15) in a Class B first-round game in Gouverneur.

Emily Stewart and Molly Williams finished with three hits as the No. 1 Bulldogs (17-0) defeated No. 8 Harrisville (7-11) in a Class D quarterfinal at Heuvelton.

Lucy Frary supplied four hits to send the No. 4 Cougars (11-5) past No. 5 Colton-Pierrepont (6-7) in a Class D quarterfinal in Russell. DeKoda Matthews struck out eight for the Cougars.

Chloe Champagne walked in the bottom of the seventh to score Abby Vincent with the winning run as the No. 2 Bulldogs (12-4) beat No. 7 Hermon-DeKalb (7-8) in a Class D quarterfinal in Chateaugay.

Avery Kenyon homered and Kelsey Bennett added two hits as the No. 3 Red Devils (11-4) defeated No. 6 Morristown (7-8) in a Class D quarterfinal in Hammond.
