SANDY CREEK — Connor MacKay and Wyatt Parliament combined for a no-hitter as the Thousand Islands baseball team won its Frontier League “C” Division season-opener, 8-1, over Sandy Creek on Saturday in its first game since 2017.
Parliament also singled and double for the Vikings (1-0), who broke the game open with a seven-run seventh inning.
The Comets are 0-1.
Delaney Wiley struck out 11 and drove in Natalie Wetterhan with a walk-off single as the Vikings opened “C” Division play with a win over the Falcons in Clayton.
Mary Connerton supplied an RBI-double for Thousand Islands (1-0).
Kindrie Roy and Brooke Platt each registered a pair of hits for South Lewis (0-1).
